Billing Charges
Lorenz Technologies charges are based on a sliding scale depending on how much work you are requiring to be put into your website. While you'll be quoted an amount of hours there is a chance due to the nature of designing websites it may take more or less time. If more time is required you will be notified with an estimated time. Please keep in mind this is not a free service for website design, but a paid service.
Retainer Charges
Lorenz Technologies has the right to charge a non-refundable retainer fee for any services which are contracted to us. While we do not expect this to happen, we have to take into account that the final funds may not be available at the end of the project. This retainer will be no less then 25% of the total amount quoted, in addition to the initial deposit, and varies depending on each case. The retainer will be at the discretion of Lorenz Technologies and is final. This retainer must be received by Lorenz Technologies before work commences on your project.
Delivery of services
For design services not uploaded to a server directly by Lorenz Technologies, all information will be placed into a folder and zipped using a zip compression utility. If the resulting zip file is too large to be sent electronically, the file will be transferred to a CD-Rom and mailed to the customer at an address they provide. The data/graphic files will be released to the customer upon payment being received by Lorenz Technologies. In the cases of a check being provided for payment, Lorenz Technologies has the right to withhold delivery of the services until funds are cleared by a financial organization.
Returns / Refunds
Refunds or credit is not given on products or services. The reason for the strict policy, we find that giving a refund on products or services of a virtual/intangible nature is not feasible. The mere fact that once the product is downloaded, or shipped on CD-ROM, you (the client) have ample opportunity to make a copy of the merchandise, therefore "returning" it is impossible. As far as services are concerned, once the work has been started and a contract has been signed, regardless of use of the work produced, we still performed the service for which you paid. In turn a refund on services is therefore impossible.
